Anahita Pestonjamasp is a flutist and educator based in the San Diego North County area. She is the Flute Instructor at California State University San Marcos, in addition to teaching privately and at public schools. Some of the venues she has performed at are Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall, Alice Tully Hall at the Lincoln Center, and Copley Symphony Hall. In Spring 2020, she was a finalist in the San Diego Flute Guild’s Young Artist Competition (final round cancelled). A supporter of the Southern California flute community, she has also served as a Vice President on the San Diego Flute Guild’s Board for the past two years. Additionally, she has been an adjudicator and clinician for competitions and student performances. As a performer, she has played with various groups like the La Jolla Symphony, and in chamber groups such as San Diego New Music. Anahita earned her Bachelor of Music degree at San Diego State University, and her Master of Music degree from the Mannes School of Music at The New School (New York, NY).
